Production Error: I said Ep.43 in the show but this is really Ep.74 lol it happens, but enjoy!
The Monster Fest continues this week with J discussing Venom (2018) and explains how it is a poorly reviewed film in regards to mainstream media yet is a spectacular film to average audiences like most horror type films were. Plus if a film gains cult status is it really a flop or an undiscovered phenomenon in the making?

The Ides of October are upon us, and this week on the J-Man Show starts a month long celebration of things that go bump in the night called “The J360 Monster Fest.” Tonight we’ll look into what measures people will go through to become real life monsters, and how we can create them in other people and ourselves if we aren’t careful.
Don your hockey masks, and get ready to go camping because it is Friday the 13th. In honor of the famed movie franchise we’re going to step into some Dark Synthwave. On this very day a young deformed child drowned in Crystal Lake due to the oversight of promiscuously ignorant counselors. Only to be avenged by the knife-wielding rage of his mother until she too was beheaded by a defensive counselor. Unfortunately Jason didn’t die that day and due to the death of his mother he decided to carry the hilt of a machete and continue on the legacy as both a deformed man (part 2-4) and an undead creature (Part 6 – current).
Despite the bloodshed, the story of the Voorhees is a tragic one at best because although both of them are monsters there was that devotion between them that drives both of their revenge plots and basically I don’t give a damn about the Victims involved. I love these two monsters because it will show how far blood runs deep and should you cross them or their territory (Camp Crystal Lake), yours will hit the soil if you don’t run or do something smart to defend yourself… So let’s look into the playlist to see what horror elements the composers have brought to light.
The First Track is called “Murder Club” by DreamReaper.
The 2nd Track is called “When Darkness is Shining” by Darkshine
The 3rd Track is called “Searching for an exit” by Dark Circuitry
If you love the sounds presented in this article tonight, feel free to check out each composer’s Soundcloud provided in the links below.
Each composer has their own unique style in presenting the horror atmosphere don’t they? So we’ll just have to watch out for every corner surrounding us tonight to be wary of the creeps nearby eh? Keep living it up J360 Legion and always be pushing yourselves to do more when it comes to creating and composing. So you can be just like the ones featured in this article and if you are doing a Friday the 13th Marathon tonight, make sure you lock the doors, it won’t help you in the long run against Jason but at least you a few seconds of life to live as you’re running for dear life (and that won’t save you either).
It has finally landed, come take a look at the Official Trailer for the Mummy coming next year. I still have optimism around this film perhaps Universal knows what they’re doing with this entry in their monsters-verse. I can’t wait to see more of the mayhem this Evil Princess will unleash. Now it does tend to have more action adventure than horror in this trailer but maybe the true film will mix horror elements of the old ones, and the thrill ride aspects of the 90s ones.
Anyways I’m going to see what it’s all about next year but what do you all think?
Discuss in the comments below or via Twitter @j360productions.
The teaser for the new Mummy movie is here (or has been here, and we’re just now sharing it heh…).
Check it out if you haven’t seen it already, this is to be Universal Studios 2nd attempt at bringing the Universal Monsters back into the modern age (Remember Dracula Untold?).
Tom Cruise, a Female Mummy, and a creepy atmosphere?
I’m intrigued to see what’s going to happen, and the trailer lands on Sunday so I’ll be sure to throw a post up for it. I know we’re starting to be surrounded by shared universes from out of nowhere but hey let Universal get another shot at it. Dracula Untold had cool effects but much like how DC comics did with Green Lantern, it doesn’t count anymore so here’s hoping it all works out.
What do you all think of the teaser so far? Are you excited to see what happens next or not?
Discuss it on the bottom or send a response to twitter: @j360productions #Mummy #Teaser
As you all know our J360 Monster Fest is continuing throughout all of November and bringing things up to speed is a horror anthology series called Tales from the Darkside.
I’m halfway through the first season so far and I have to say while some eps were a bit hokey, this set is definitely worth the $30 dollar price tag for all 96 episodes. Far as the content goes the episodes hold up well as the picture and sounds are clear, and the creep factor is still strong to this day.
So I’m going to be scaring the hell out of myself for awhile as I partake at least the first two seasons of this set while watching more monster movies in between. I actually have a wall of shame for horror movies just like the one for the PowerPlay. So it’s all about enjoying the films I do have and doing a bit of case studying as I am working on three new short films for J360 Productions.
The adventure continues Ladies and Gentlemen, and until next time have an awesome night.
Welcome to a multi-event weekend, filled with today, my birthday tomorrow, and Halloween on Monday. Too much ground to cover in one full weekend, so how to go about celebrating all three things eh? We’ll start with a Song of the Day. It should be a theme that accurately works with all things in a synthesized rhythm with 80s drum beats, and created through independent musicians.
Now while that request doesn’t narrow anything down at all, today’s song will be a real treat for those of you that are participating in the Halloween festivities tonight. A little bit of those Dr.Frankenstein vibes are in order, and indeed this fits the mold.
Today’s track is called “The Man who made a monster.” created by Dance Of The Dead.
If you enjoy the sounds of Dance Of The Dead, feel free to check out their Soundcloud here.
I know Saturdays are usually a day of smooth tones and calmness on this feature but you can have that next week, have fun haunting tonight and tomorrow people.
It’s time for another look into two awesome songs, we’ve got plenty of cool things to hear across the airwaves. How has the grind been as of late? I hope you’re all making those strong decisions and improving yourselves. Never stop learning from your mistakes and becoming better creatives, entrepenuaers, and etc. Sometimes its hard and most times frustrating but you never quit what you love. If you want proof, take a good listen at the songs below.
Remember it’s not up to anyone else about you, it’s up to you about yourself and where you want to go. So if you’re at the bottom, pull yourself up and only know there’s one direction that will benefit you but you’ll be running through hard times, tough obstacles, and showing off that you have true grit. Just like the musicians being presented in these articles, so let their work inspire you and keep going. If you do get tired in your labors, take a small break but don’t hang your gloves up.
